Idaho Sex Offenders List Excerpt: "Sex offender registration in Idaho began on July 1, 1993. It also established a statutory duty for persons convicted of certain felony sex crimes to register with their local sheriff. In 1998, the Legislature repealed the orginal act and enacted the "Sexual Offenders Registration Notification and Community Right-to-Know Act" to strengthen program administration and to expand public access to central registry information. Also in 1998, they enacted the "Juvenile Sexual Offender Registration Notification and Community Right-to-Know Act." Under the previous law, only juveniles convicted as adults were subject to sex offender registration. Both the new registration laws became effective July 1, 1998. The adult law is codified as Title 18, Chapter 83, Idaho Code (sections 18-8301 through 18-8326) and the juvenile law is codified as Title 18, Chapter 84 Idaho Code (sections 18-8401 through 18-8413)."
