Indiana Sex Offenders List
Public access to the Indiana Sex Offenders List is the result of several acts passed by Congress, which require states - like Indiana - to release relevant information about registered sex offenders to protect the public.
Indiana Registry
Each state differs in terms of how it administers its community notification process. The Indiana sex offenders registry IS accessible on-line via the following link:

Indiana Sex Offenders List Excerpt: "Effective January 1, 2003, Zachary's Law requires sheriff departments to jointly establish and maintain the Indiana Sheriffs' Sex Offender Registry to provide detailed information about individuals who register as sex or violent offenders at Indiana sheriff departments (or, in Marion County, the Indianapolis Police Department). The purpose of the registry is to inform the general public about the identity, location, and appearance of sex and violent offenders who live, work, or study in Indiana. (NOTE: The photographs and addresses of registered sex and violent offenders cannot be presented on the site until the Indiana Supreme Court decides on a pending case relating to the publication of this information.)"
Other Registries
Although you can get registered sex offender information directly from a State Sex Offenders List like that of Indiana, in fact, from almost all state government web sites, you'll probably find it easier to do a free search or a full search of several other sex offender registries.
